Space Shuttle Discovery

The Space Shuttle Discovery was flown to DC earlier this week to be displayed in the Smithsonian. A friend and I decided to try to go and see it when it flew over and everyone else in DC and northern Virginia decided the same thing. As we were driving to the park where we hoped to see the space shuttle there were cars just stopped on the side of the highway and thousands of people taking pictures. We first saw it flying while we were still in the car and I was worried we had missed it, but they circled around several times, so we got some pretty good views when we arrived at the park.

Lincoln and Wes thought that the regular airplanes were just as cool. (This park is right by Reagan National and planes take off and land right overhead. It’s pretty fun.)
