Worth the Wait

Lincoln has finally joined our little family and we are so happy to have him! He was born Thursday February 26th at 5:58 am. We arrived at the hospital on Wednesday evening to start the induction process, but it turned out I just needed a little push to go into labor, so we didn't end up needing to be induced. He was 8 pounds 3 ounces and 21 inches long at birth. He has a very sweet disposition and we are really enjoying having him around. Here are a few pictures:

Come and Gone...

For the last nine months I've been looking forward to February 18th. And now it's come and gone. My entire pregnancy I've said I thought the baby would be late, but in the back of my mind I have been secretly hoping that he would come a few days early. It would have been such a nice surprise to not have to wait the entire time. Oh well, I suppose he'll come when he's ready, but it's getting harder and harder to be patient...

Nursery

We are finally done with the baby's room! Yesterday we went and got his mattress and a bunch of other last minute things that we needed. Also, earlier this week we were lucky enough to find a smokin' deal for a rocking chair on Craigslist, which really made the room feel complete. It feels so nice to have a real nursery! Here are some pictures, but it's hard to take a picture of an entire room...
Now all we need is a baby to put in the nursery. Hopefully he doesn't wait too long to make his big appearance...

Baby Game

While we wait for the big day, I thought it might be fun to play a little game. Everyone click on the banner below and enter your guesses for the baby's gender (that should be easy,) weight, length, and birthday. After he's born the site will calculate a winner! Hopefully he doesn't come tonight, or this game will be a real bust....

Baby Watch 2009

I am done working. I am in full nesting mode (I just finished cleaning out the cabinet under the kitchen sink, next on the agenda: the top of the refridgerator.) And my due date is quickly approaching. Now we're just playing the waiting game. I must say, however, I am not feeling nearly as impatient as I thought I would at this point. I am excited to meet the baby, but I don't feel like he has to come out NOW. It's a weird feeling, though, knowing that our lives are about to be rocked in a very big way. Still, I hope he doesn't wait too long to make his big debut.
